 Of splinter in my hand

 But when I came back down the stairs my hand was bleeding 

But that night I went

 Upstairs and knocked on the door above me because the slamming was so nerve wrecking 

I was asking if someone lived above

 Me because of the cabinet slamming...which is still in progress

 And I was asking him if he knew if someone lived above me and he informed me that someone had died and he called management because of the smell
